Job Summary:
As the Site IT Lead, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our Bolton site s IT infrastructure and applications. Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, with a dotted line to the European Head of IT Operations, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our IT capabilities. You will manage the IT team, ensure adherence to IT security standards, and provide hands-on support and guidance to all users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site IT Management: Oversee all IT activities and setups for the Bolton site, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with company standards.
* Team Leadership: Manage, support, coach, and lead the IT specialist reporting to you, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
* IT Security: Enforce IT-related rules and standards with a dedicated focus on IT security concerning local applications, hardware, and server rooms.
* Technical Support: Provide hands-on preventive, curative, and maintenance actions. Deliver first, second, and third-level support to users, and offer training and advice on compliance and computer management.
* Daily Operations: Conduct daily IT operations and technical deployment actions at the site, ensuring seamless IT functionality.
* User Support: Handle user requests from receipt to resolution, ensuring timely repairs and assistance.
* Data Security: Ensure data integrity, reliability, and availability at the location.
* Business Partnership: Maintain close contact with business stakeholders to understand and address their IT needs.
* Asset Management: Manage local IT assets and coordinate centrally driven asset projects as needed.
* External Collaboration: Secure external support, contract services, and follow up on activities as necessary.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with local and regional management to align IT initiatives with business goals.
Qualifications:
* Education: Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
* Experience: Proven experience in IT infrastructure and systems maintenance; industry experience, ideally in automotive, is desirable.
* Skills: Strong analytical, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Collaborative and open-minded approach to developing and implementing new projects and concepts.
* Passion: A strong passion for IT, data, and innovation.
* Leadership: Proven ability and experience in managing and coaching a team.
