The Opportunity
The DevOps Engineer is actively involved in the implementation and support of build and deployment software solutions in support of the full engineering team. You will participate in the automated creation and maintenance of the Cloud Infrastructure to support our projects.
The role will involve:
10. Promoting DevOps practices within engineering
11. Collaborating with the wider Solutions teams in various projects and initiatives
12. Communication across teams, both technical and non-technical
13. Designing and maintaining configuration and automation tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
14. Participating in code reviews and validation for the development teams
15. Implementing effective monitoring across our systems
16. Assisting engineering in troubleshooting system and software issues in all environments, including root cause analysis
About You
To be successful as the DevOps Engineer you will have proven experience as a DevOps or Junior DevOps engineer. You will be experienced in DevOps practices with knowledge of Agile methodologies and tooling.
You will also have/be:
17. Experience in AzureCI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps pipelines)ARM templatesIaaSPaaSNetworkingDatabaseScripting languageMonitoring
18. Some experience in AWS is desirable
19. Understanding of the latest DevOps tools, technologies and best practices
20. Ideally a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (MCAAA) or equivalent experience
21. Ideally a technical certifications (Azure or similar)
22. Ability to communicate with team and peers
23. Experience producing standard technical and process outputs, reports and other documents from templates
24. Experience in using ticket systems (e.g. Jira)
25. Experience in using code repositories (e.g. Github or Azure Repos)
