Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with one of the international leaders supporting in the nuclear energy sector to recruit a P6 Project Planner for the Sizewell B project in Leiston, Suffolk.
The Project Planner role comes with a salary of £45,000 – £75,000 DOE, as well as hybrid working, 25 days annual leave per year raising to 30 (1 day for every 2 years’ service), and many more fantastic benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
You will be responsible for:
* Maintaining project schedules for large projects/ collections of projects
* Leading the planning process on large or complex projects, taking the integrated project team from requirement through to WBS through to the baselined schedule.
* Leading on integrated master-level schedule reporting and outputs to the business and customer including Earned Value Management (EVM), resource analysis, schedule performance and milestone reporting.
* More senior candidates will need to own the tools, processes, guidance and templates for the Planning discipline used on their projects/ in their area and being an advocate for these processes by promoting engagement with them across the business to foster buy-in and adoption.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with a range of the following:
* P6 Expertise
* APMG Project Planning & Controls (PPC) Practitioner
* APM Project Fundamentals Qualification
* APMG Earned Value Management Practitioner
* ECITB Planning & Scheduling Practice (or other equivalent Planning qualification)
* APM Full Membership
* APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
Personal skills
The Project Planner role would suit someone who is:
· Skilled in guiding teams through the planning process and ensuring quality inputs through questioning, challenging, and validating data.
· Possesses technical knowledge for managing and integrating outputs from junior planners and project controls staff into a master plan.
· Confident in engaging with delivery teams and extracting planning information.
