Job Description
Allen & York are excited to be working exclusively with a global healthcare company as they look to recruit an ESG Lead to join this values driven, family-owned business with a strong commitment to ESG from the top down and help them drive and implement their ESG strategy Group wide. With manufacturing sites worldwide and a complex supply chain, you'll be engaging with the entire business, educating them and ensuring compliance with regulations, whilst at the same time, being commercially pragmatic.
It's a really exciting time to join the business and, one role removed from the Board, reporting to the COO, you will have regular exposure to the Board and Exec Committees, you'll chair the ESG Steering Group Meetings and will attend awards and events to represent the business and ensure you're abreast of regulatory developments and legislative changes. As such, you'll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be able to disseminate technical data into easy to understand language. You'll provide training internally via a range of media, and you'll be engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including third party ESG companies.
Technically, you'll have proven experience of having developed and implemented an ESG strategy, producing sustainability reports, emissions reporting, carbon reduction plans, Scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting and setting targets. You'll be adept at ensuring compliance with legislation, and indeed you'll be responsible for supporting the ISO14001 accreditation and strengthening this certification.
You'll be awarded a great deal of autonomy to implement ESG initiatives and as well as operating strategically, you'll also be required to roll your sleeves up and analyse data and produce the reports. This is a stand-alone role initially but there may be the opportunity to recruit into the Division in the future.
With the Head Office based in South Wales, there is an expectation that you'll be visible in the office, so it would suit those based in the SW, and you'll be travelling to different sites worldwide as well so a willingness to travel is required.
You will have a relevant environmental or sustainability qualification, combined with experience of working in a senior capacity and you may well have experience of having worked in the manufacturing or healthcare sectors previously.
So, if you feel you're ready to guide this organisation to achieve their ESG ambitions and join a successful company with a great Team of professionals, please contact Katie on
