A rare andexciting opportunity to work in a paid full time training role as a Systemic Family Practitioner (SFP) inCalderdale or Kirklees.
We are currently recruiting for 2 new training posts tostart the Postgraduate Certificate in EvidenceBased interventions to commence in January 2025.
Main duties of the job
CYWP trainees provide low intensityinterventions for anxiety, depression and conduct problems including guidedself-help.

Job responsibilities
The posts arepart of the Children and Young Peoples PsychologicalTrainings initiative which is intended to increase andupskill the children & young peoples mental health workforce. Applicants should have experience of supporting children and young people withtheir mental health/wellbeing. They need to be willing to undertake anintensive training course and they must beable to demonstrate the aptitude to study at Level 7.
The 1 yearfull time training course is provided by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHSFoundation Trust in partnership with the University of Manchester and traineeswill study in person for one or two days perweek. The rest of the working week will be basedin-service using the skills gained during the training.
Trainee CYWPs are paid on NHS Agenda ForChange pay band 5(or equivalent), and will progress to NHS band 6(or equivalent) on successful completion of the 12 month training.

Experience and Qualifications
Essential
1. Qualification in Clinical/Educational Psychology,Social Work, Psychiatry, Nursing, OccupationalTherapy (Core) or Creative Therapies,Counselling, Speech & Language Therapy, CYPWs, EMHPs & Psychotherapy (Non-Core).
Desirable
2. Educated to degree level (candidates who do not have a degree will need to evidence their competency by completing an essay).
