We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to join a dynamic and growing European sales team. As a leading multinational company specialising in biopharmaceutical process and production equipment, specifically powder handling, grinding technologies, containment, and packaging systems. As the Sales Manager for the UK, you will play a crucial role in expanding their customer base and driving sales growth in the biopharma and pharmaceutical sectors. With their wide range of high-value, bespoke equipment, you will serve as the primary point of contact for existing and new customers. You will use your experience to understand their unique requirements and challenges to deliver exceptional technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development: Identify potential clients and market segments, conducting market research and analysis to drive business expansion. Generate leads through various approaches.
* Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering new business opportunities and partnerships.
* Sales and Revenue Generation: Develop and execute effective sales strategies, meeting or exceeding sales targets. Deliver engaging presentations to potential clients.
* Proposal Development: Collaborate with the sales support teams to create technical proposals, quotations, and information requests tailored to client needs.
* Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors. Utilise market insights to identify new opportunities and recommend strategic actions.
* Relationship Management: Ensure excellent customer satisfaction by maintaining long-term client relationships, addressing concerns, and providing exceptional service.
* Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare regular reports and forecasts on business development activities, sales performance, and pipeline. Provide timely updates to the management team.
* Participate in Trade Shows/Exhibitions
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent experience.
* Proven track record in business development and selling equipment or systems into the biopharma/pharma sectors (Essential)
* Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
* Self-motivated and target-oriented, with the ability to work independently on a hybrid basis.
