Position: Project Engineer
Location: Midlands
Salary: >£40k-£45k
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our client who is a leading turnkey engineering firm. The Project Engineer will be responsible for:
1. To ensure that all works are scoped with the client on-site using relevant resource
2. Provide technical knowledge on the repair, refurbishment, or replacement of equipment & plant
3. To ensure that estimates are completed on time in line with service level agreements
4. Attendance of internal launch/scope meetings with associated departments
5. Pre-construction process plan develop, implement, and monitor
6. Attendance of external start-up, site visit, and design meetings
7. Arrange and attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and sub-contractors
8. Management of agreed resources, budget, scope, and program with the site services team
9. Produce commissioning plans in conjunction with the site services team
10. Ensure documentation is in place for handover and sign-off
11. Ensure H&S documentation is in place
Qualifications / requirements:
Specific skill-based qualification to level 3 or above, OR, have 10 years field-based experience within a specific skill-based role. PASMA or MEWP training. Crane operations training (either Slingers Signaller or Lift supervisor to CPCS standard). Health & Safety-First Aid (3 day) SMSTS (CITB). Confined Space Trained. Level 3 Leadership Training (or working towards). CSCS Supervisors card. Ideally an NVQ or equivalence in the core role desirable
Experience and Knowledge
Experience working with water control assets Installation of Penstocks, Flap Valves, winches. Knowledge of working on tidal waterways, and the management of the risks associated. The ability to produce hand-drawn sketches of assets after inspections, and detailed condition reports on said assets. Ideally apprentice trained and have at least 5 years involvement in the above works.
