Head of Building Safety & Compliance Assurance
National - Base office location may vary dependent upon suitable candidate
£74,716 per year (pro rata) plus Company Car or Car Allowance
35 hours per week
Temporary position for up to 6 months
We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our Compliance senior management team in the role of Head of Building Safety & Compliance assurance. The role will involve a balance of home and office working but can be based nationally such as Midlands, North or Southwest.
Reporting to the Director of Compliance and Building Safety, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of all compliance activities across the Group, ensuring we meet legislative requirements on these activities.
The role of Head of Building Safety & Compliance Assurance will include:
* Managing the Building Safety Team to ensure Sanctuary fulfil our statutory responsibilities in terms of the Building Safety Act
* A significant amount of reporting and analysing, providing assurances to the Exec team, Board and Committees across Sanctuary
* Leading the development, delivery and maintenance of a national framework of compliance contracts to ensure all regulatory and legal requirements are met within budget
* Managing the development and review of policy frameworks
* Ensuring a zero-tolerance policy to non-compliance is maintained
* Managing circa 10 people within the Compliance team
Skills and experiences:
* Substantial experience of people management and development
* Proven experience of senior stakeholder liaison and relationship building
* Strategic thinking and problem solving
* Previous experience of Contractor management
* Sound technical knowledge of Building Safety
* Proficient user of Microsoft packages
* This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
