Job Title: Accounts Assistant (Contract) Location: London, Canary Wharf Contract: 3 Months FTC Hourly Rate: Up to £21.87 depending on experience About the Role: We're seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join a high-profile company on a 3-month contract, covering paternity leave. This role offers the opportunity to work across two prestigious London locations, supporting the financial team with key tasks including raising PO requests, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities: • Classify, record, and summarise financial data, ensuring records are complete and accurate. • Raise PO requests and liaise with suppliers, ensuring smooth communication between all parties. • Collaborate with the site lead to resolve any issues and ensure financial processes run smoothly. • Assist with receipting, budget support, and liaising with Accounts Payable (AP). • Prepare and process financial statements, including invoices and account statements. • Use accounting software and Excel (including PivotTables and V-Lookups) to manage financial data. • Support internal and external stakeholders with financial queries, offering excellent communication and support. • Ensure compliance with all company policies and financial regulations. Key Skills & Experience: • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, V-Lookups, etc.). • Prior experience (2 years) in a similar accounts or finance role. • Strong understanding of financial processes (accruals, PO processes, etc.). • Attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy and organisation. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. • Experience working independently and managing multiple priorities effectively. • Logical thinker and problem solver with a passion for numbers. • Experience in AI tools is beneficial, but not mandatory.
