ARCUS IN THE COMMUNITY
Arcus in the Community enables colleagues to nominate their chosen charity, organization, or community project to be sponsored or supported by Arcus. We prioritize requests which are in support of our three priority groups: young adults (particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds such as care leavers), those recently or soon to be released from prison and ex-services personnel.
SOCIAL VALUE AT ARCUS
As a growing business, the most significant way in which Arcus FM can give back to society is by providing work opportunities to individuals in marginalised groups. The three groups we focus our social value work on at Arcus are young people generally but particularly care leavers; people who have had contact with the justice system in some way including serving prisoners, and ex-services. We work with social value partners on a number of different projects.
OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR ARMED FORCES
The Armed Forces Covenant is Arcus FM’s commitment to those who proudly protect us, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment. It is our pledge to those who serve, or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, that they will be treated with fairness and respect.
We recognise military skills, qualifications and experiences in our recruitment process and work with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) via our partnership with the British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) to support the employment of Service leavers. Our veterans support each other through Arcus FM’s ‘Armed Forces Veterans’ group, to build their support network and offer mentoring to help those joining us adjust and settle into their new roles and civilian careers. Arcus FM provides flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment. Members of the Reserve Forces are granted additional paid leave for annual Reserve Forces training and we support mobilizations and deployment where possible.
