Quality Lead
Location: Cramlington (Travel – UK & Europe) - Some travel to other locations will be required.
We are unable to offer sponsorship or relocation for this role.
Salary: Circa £45,000 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Purpose:
Working as part of a team, the Quality Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the Quality team, delivering ‘step change’ quality improvements working closely with the Operations & Process Engineering functions to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Manage a small team of people to ensure the product and service standards are maintained.
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives across site with regard to quality complaint issues.
* Ensure compliance to ISO9001 standards
* Provide leadership and training on quality standards and processes
* Support the Quality Manager in the developing strategic objectives
* Conduct internal and external audit and develop the sites quality policies
* Develop opportunities to automise and digitally transform the department
* Facilitate Improvements for headline quality metrics
* Provide training and mentoring of the current quality team
* Facilitating Kaizens
* Benchmarking and Best Practice within Quality.
* Develop quality standards
* Attend and participate in all relevant meetings / calls as required.
* Deputize for the Quality Manager as required with decision making authority
Qualifications
Required Skills:
* Previous experience in a Quality organisation, ideally in manufacturing background
* Proven experience leading teams and managing quality systems
* Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices ie ISO900
* Strong team player
* Results driven and proactive with initiatives
* Strong technical background within a Quality Organisation
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Proficiency in in quality management tools and software
Preferred Skills:
* Certification in quality and lean six sigma or lean manufacturing methodologies
* Computer literate preferably in Google Chrome
