Reporting to our technology operations director, you'll oversee our 3rd line teams (infrastructure, networks Linux), and oversee our teams tasked with developing and maintaining the significant estate of IT infrastructure (physical and cloud) that underpins all IT services at JD Group.
You'll also be accountable for both the tactical and strategic development of our network and system infrastructure to improve security, deliver a reliable and diverse network service, provide appropriate and scalable compute and storage services, and ensure our IT estate is backed up and recoverable.
This role will be one that works collaboratively with other areas of IT such as architecture and security to provide high-level advice and strategic direction.

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Head of Technology Infrastructure, you'll be doing the following:
* Creation, design, management, monitoring, and support of the IT infrastructure (networks, telecommunications, and server) infrastructure and services, supporting architecture and roadmaps to ensure the selection, deployment, and lifecycle management of appropriate services for JD Group.
* Develop and implement IT policies and architectural and design standards with respect to network, computing, storage, and cloud services.
* Responsible for managing IT infrastructure work and resource demands in an orderly manner, supplying resources for new projects and work requests, and ensuring that proposed solutions are aligned with the application strategy.
* Lead, manage and develop the IT Network and Telecommunications and IT Systems teams to maximize productivity, ensure the skills pool is current and relevant to the requirements of the organization, enhance job satisfaction, promote career development, and implement effective succession planning.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience delivering business-critical IT infrastructure (physical and cloud) that includes design, administration, implementation, and management experience.
* Experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization.
* Formal training and/or current certifications in ITIL or ITSM.
* Relevant experience hosting client-facing SaaS applications in both on-premises datacentre environments and public cloud.
* Experience designing and implementing secure application hosting & Enterprise solutions that are compliant with data security standards.
* Advanced knowledge of IT Infrastructure technology standards, guidelines, and tools.
