This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology (OGN) Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Waiting List Coordinators, to actively support the Directorate in the efficient and effective management of the inpatient waiting lists and the management of the Obstetrics Section and Induction processes.
The successful candidate will have a methodical approach to work, be extremely well organised and have a flexible attitude incorporating the Trust PROUD values. With a clear understanding of patient confidentiality as well as a background in an administrative setting this post would ideally suit an individual wanting to further their experience in waiting list management. Previous waiting list coordination experience would be advantageous. Effective computer skills are essential and experience of using a hospital computer system would also be desirable.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
* Robustly manage a PTL against local and national waiting times in accordance with the Access Policy.
* Prepare and attend multidisciplinary planning meetings.
* Be responsible for informing Theatre and Anaesthetic Teams of the Theatre list requirements within the Directorate, such as KIT requirements, including bespoke items and products. Ensuring any cancellations or changes are communicated to appropriate department and persons.
* Use appropriate booking processes to facilitate the admission of patients adding, removing and suspending patients to and from the inpatient waiting list.
* Be responsible for making sure all relevant information is accurately recorded on Lorenzo, ORMIS, JMIS, Bed Booking System(s), COO report and any other relevant information system as required by Trust and local processes.
* Be responsible for the production of theatre lists using the ORMIS database ensuring all relevant information is recorded and documented including updating alterations making sure they are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* 4 GCSE or equivalent qualification inc. Maths and English grades A-C
* NVQ level III in Business Admin / Customer Care or equivalent demonstrable experience
Experience
* Relevant experience of working in a coordinating role
* Relevant experience working in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Experience of meeting objectives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Professional package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* Working knowledge of Patient Administration System (e.g., Lorenzo) or equivalent administrative systems
* Experience of working in a clerical role within a clinical directorate in the NHS
* Experience of managing patient waiting time targets including 18-week RTT and cancer wait times
* Experience of waiting list coordination
Further Training
* Clear understanding of patient confidentiality

Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata for part time staff
