The post holder will be responsible for the monitoring of incoming pathology results for patients on long term medication, and supporting the specialist nursing team ensuring patients are monitored in accordance with timescales agreed by clinicians.
This post requires the post holder to pay close attention to detail and, as the post commands a significant level of responsibility, the post holder will need to be able to both work in conjunction with clinical teams and on their own initiative.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be required to develop and maintain a good working relationship with all staff and liaise closely with clinicians, nursing staff, Clinical Administrative Support Team and patient administration staff at all levels throughout the Trust. The postholder must have excellent communication skills, be organised, pay close attention to detail, and be able to work on their own initiative.

Person Specification
* NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration/Customer Care or acquired equivalent experience
* Good understanding of Windows applications and MS Office
* Understanding/knowledge of Trust Policies and Procedures
* Overall understanding of the patient administration process
* Time Management Skills or experience of working within a busy/demanding environment
* Experience of working with the general public
* Understanding of Primary Care, GP and community service
