The purpose of the ADR Operative is to ensure the efficient operation of Automatic Defect Removal equipment to company requirements and specifications. Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Start up; check all ADR's Opti-sort and Radix settings including Peel Scanner. Alter programmes for machines for product specifications being run.
* Program computers using own discretion to give best efficient defect removal at all times according to product being run and make appropriate adjustments whilst ensuring appropriate recoveries.
* Complete all necessary paperwork and procedures fully, accurately and without omissions.
* Carries out cube test and defects in/out test to determine the level of defects as required, carrying out any adjustments necessary to achieve greater efficiency.
* Strip and rebuild cutter wheels and manifolds, replacing broken or missing blades.
* Continuously monitor and maintain the condition and cleanliness of the ADR belts and equipment to ensure maximum performance and efficiency
* Ensure a full CIP and learn light is done at the start of every shift to maximise machine performance and efficiency
* Check all interlocks at the start of every shift, completing appropriate paperwork and report any faults immediately after making the equipment safe
* Makes sure the grading screens are at the correct sizing for the product being run.
* Assists the engineers with general maintenance tasks on and around the ADR's as well as carrying out any routine maintenance tasks as requested by their manager.
* Report any faults or malfunctions to their manager or engineers
* Makes themselves conversant with any modifications, updates or new equipment installations relevant to them
* Carry out any reasonable additional duties as and when requested
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience of working in an FMCG environment, coupled with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
