Position: Nurture Mentor
Base: Knossington, Leicestershire
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Mon-Thurs), 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Fri)
Term Time Only (Plus 5 training days)
Salary: Up to £24,488 (Actual Salary) + 45p per mile mileage allowance
Contract Type: Temp to perm (£110 - £150 per day whilst on temp)
Experience: Working with children, SEN knowledge, and relationship-building with challenging pupils
Travel: Use of personal transport required for offsite visits

This specialist provision offers a therapeutic environment, providing tailored education, care, and support for young people aged 8-18 with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
What You’ll Do:
Deliver vocational and academic instruction in English and Maths to GCSE level.
Engage pupils in alternative education programs tailored to individual needs.
Support offsite activities, college placements, and personal development.
Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies.
Prepare and deliver personalized materials, maintaining Individual Education Plans and progress reports.
Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure pupil welfare at all times.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Training & Qualifications:
Maths and English at Grade C GCSE or equivalent
Further study or qualifications post-18
Experience:
Experience working with young people who find education challenging
Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour
Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating literacy interventions
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficient in using computer databases and common programmes
Ability to drive and possession of own vehicle for work purposes
Confidence in delivering both vocational and academic learning on a one-to-one basis
