Description
Marrons’ Bristol office is looking for a Planner/Senior Planner to join their team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, from urban regeneration schemes to strategic planning initiatives, while collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and fellow professionals to achieve successful outcomes.

The role offers the opportunity for a motivated planner to take the next step in their career and help Marrons continue its expansion into the South West and Thames Valley, collaborating with the teams across the wider South East.

You will be:
* Networking within the industry to continue to promote Marrons’ offer in the south and establish new relationships.
* Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic planning policies and initiatives.
* Leading the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies to support sustainable growth and development across the UK.
* Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices.
* Conducting site searches and assessments, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform decision-making processes.
* Engaging with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to foster positive relationships and address planning-related issues.
* Providing expert advice and guidance on planning matters to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
* Monitoring legislative changes, emerging trends, and best practices in urban planning to inform decision-making and strategy development.
You will need:
* Previous experience in a Planning role (ideally from within local government, consultancy or development industry) with a record of key involvement in the application process.
* A relevant Planning qualification (or working towards one).
* Membership of RTPI or working towards membership.
* A good understanding of the planning process and systems.
* Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner.
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently.
* Drive, commitment, enthusiastic and a team player approach.
* Experience within Bristol, the wider South West and/or the M4 corridor would be advantageous.

This hybrid role is Bristol based, ideally we are looking for someone to be in the Bristol office 3-4 days per week. Given the client base, periodic supported travel into the London office will also form part of the working environment.
