What you'll be doing:
As a Test Analyst, you will be responsible for executing and supporting testing activities to ensure IT solutions meet business and technical requirements. Reporting to the Test Lead, the Test Analyst focuses on designing, executing, and documenting test cases while identifying and logging defects. This role ensures the successful delivery of high-quality IT projects by working closely with developers, business analysts, and the QA function to validate system functionality and reliability.
* Design and execute test cases - Create and execute test cases based on functional and technical specifications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of requirements.
* Identify and document defects - Detect and log software defects in a clear and concise manner, working with development and project teams to support resolution.
* Perform various types of testing - Execute different testing types, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure system reliability.
* Collaborate with project teams - Work with Test Leads, QA Analysts, and developers to clarify requirements, validate outcomes, and align testing with project goals.
* Support test environment preparation - Assist in preparing and maintaining test environments, including data setup and configuration, to enable accurate testing.
* Contribute to automated testing - Collaborate with the Test Lead to execute automated test scripts and assist in maintaining automation frameworks.
* Document test results and create reports - Record and communicate test outcomes, including success metrics, defects, and areas of concern.
What you'll need:
* Experience in software testing, with a focus on test execution and defect management.
* Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
* Basic understanding of test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Appium) is advantageous.
* Great attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and document issues accurately.
* Good communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies is desirable.
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
