People and Culture Officer

Job details
We are looking to recruit a People & Culture Officer to work full time within our P&C team. You will provide a comprehensive, effective and efficient service throughout St Helena to outside agencies, managers and employees by providing a proactive support service and advice on a full range of Human Resources issues. You will investigate issues arising from disciplinary and grievance, reporting on findings and making recommendations as appropriate.

£26,000 to £30,000 per annum

What we’re looking for
We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and knowledge:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Administration or CIPD Level 3.
2. Able to demonstrate excellent standard of literacy and numeracy.
3. Knowledge of relevant employment law.
4. Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities and demands for attention throughout the day.
5. Communicating complex and sensitive information.
6. Experience of providing general HR advice.
7. Excellent verbal and written skills.
8. Highly motivated.
9. Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy.
10. A flexible approach.
