About the Role
Our client, a prestigious professional services firm, is seeking an accomplished M&A Tax Director to provide expert tax advisory services on complex mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings. This role presents a unique opportunity for an experienced tax professional to lead high-profile transactions, deliver strategic insights, and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, including corporate leadership, legal advisors, and deal teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Transaction Advisory – Oversee tax due diligence and risk assessments to provide comprehensive insights into mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring transactions.
* Strategic Tax Planning – Develop and implement tax-efficient transaction structures that align with clients' business objectives while ensuring compliance with UK and international tax regulations.
* Post-Transaction Integration – Advise on the tax implications of deal structures, supporting smooth integration and alignment with corporate tax strategies.
* Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management – Stay informed on evolving tax legislation, regulatory changes, and potential impacts on M&A activity, ensuring that clients remain fully compliant.
* Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, private equity firms, and institutional investors, positioning our client as a trusted M&A tax advisory partner.
* Leadership & Team Development – Mentor and develop junior tax professionals, fostering technical excellence and professional growth within the team.
Key Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience in M&A tax, transaction tax, or corporate tax advisory, preferably within a professional services, consulting, or Big Four firm.
* Strong technical expertise in UK and international tax regulations, including corporate tax, capital gains tax, and transfer pricing considerations.
* Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver high-quality tax advisory services under tight deadlines.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate tax risks in high-value transactions.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to develop and inspire teams while maintaining a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
