Little Legends is an independent, family run 41 place nursery based in South Reddish, Stockport. We are looking to recruit an experienced practitioner to fill the role of Deputy Manager within our established nursery team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Deputy Manager, however, senior practitioners or room leaders looking for career progression opportunities, would also be considered for this role.

We are therefore, looking for an inspirational Deputy Manger, who is passionate, professional and confident in their role and abilities.
As Deputy Manager you would be supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day, overall running of the nursery. Helping to continuously develop the quality of the nursery by implementing targets off the nursery development plan and helping to support the development of the team via reviews and mentoring activities.
To be successful in this role you must be a friendly, caring and emotionally warm practitioner. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly form positive relationships with children, parents, employees, other agencies and professionals. In addition, you must be knowledgeable of the requirements of the early years sector, possessing a detailed understanding of the EYFS, 'Learning and Development', 'Assessment' and 'Safeguarding' requirements and also have good working knowledge of the care and education standards expected by OFSTED.
To be considered for the role applicants must have a Level 3 Early Years Qualification, and at least two years of post qualified experience. Applicants will ideally have previous experience within a leadership role in a nursery setting. Higher level qualifications of degree level or Early Years Teacher would be preferred.
