Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant
Location: Caerphilly
Salary: £85 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Position: Full Time and part time 08:30 – 15:30
Requirements: Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one. EWC registered as a School Learning Support Worker.
About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic experienced SEND Learning Support Assistants to work in one of our SEND Schools, where the pupils range from 3-19 years. While a background in special needs is not essential, a strong understanding of the needs of learners with ALN and/or social, emotional, and mental health needs would be advantageous. Candidates who have mainstream experience, have worked as a care/support worker, and have worked with children in a different setting would be suitable, as skills can be transferable.
We seek individuals who are willing and able to turn their hand to a variety of Curriculum areas and activities, helping our pupils engage and enjoy life-affirming experiences. Recognizing the importance of both high support and high challenge is crucial. If you think that’s you, please get in touch.
We offer flexible working, so if you are available 2-5 days a week, we would love to hear from you.
About the School:
The school provides a broad, lively, and stimulating person-centred curriculum for pupils, focusing on inspiring change within the pupils to ensure their successful future.
Pupils have a range of additional learning needs, including ADHD, ASD, PMLD, and SEMH. Although sometimes challenging, you will not find job satisfaction like it anywhere else.
Assignment Details:
The role is to start ASAP and will be a potential long-term position for the right candidate.
Benefits of Working with Connex Education:
* Competitive daily rate.
* PAYE paid weekly.
* Free access to our SEND Toolkit skills development package, comprising over 24 courses.
