Supplier Relationship Manager
Location: Agile working – some home working but also potential travel required across 7 forces, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk

Salary: £47,814-£59,916 dependent on experience
We are proud to be working with The Seven Force (7F) Strategic Collaboration Programme which coordinates the collaborative activities of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.
They are currently seeking a Supplier Relationship Manager to join their team. This is a work from home role, and you can be based from anywhere within the Seven Forces remit. However, you will be expected to attend an office in Essex and/or the South East once per month.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of contracts and strategic supplier relationships on behalf of the 7 Forces with a view to securing better value for money from contractual agreements.
You will ensure that robust and proportionate levels of contract management are undertaken, and ensure the delivery of the agreed Contract Management Plan per contract allocated.
You will seek continuous improvement through the life of contracts to enable customers to benefit from innovations in the market, improving efficiency and effectiveness wherever possible.
What do you need?
1. At least 5 years’ experience in a Commercial role e.g. Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Category Management, Procurement, Purchasing.
2. Significant demonstrable experience in the commercial management of contracts of significant value and/or worked as a leading procurement professional in this broad area for a complex, public sector organisation.
3. Knowledge and understanding of contract law and the application of Procurement Regulations and legislation.
4. Proven success in working in a political environment with senior stakeholders (Chief Officer and Chief Executive level) showing sound judgement and impact.
5. Significant experience of translating business needs into commercial procurement strategies that drive enhanced business outcomes for the organisation as a whole.
6. Strong analytical skills to align procurement solutions with customer needs.
7. Ability to ‘see the big picture’ and think strategically about developments in the various category markets and the opportunities that those developments will create for the 7 Forces.
8. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise successfully with staff/officers of all levels and external individuals, and to influence stakeholders within the 7 Forces and external organisations.
9. Strong commercial acumen.
10. Strong negotiating, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills are essential to the role.
11. Ability to provide innovative thinking and impetus to drive through change and develop and enhance an integrated commercial and contract management function across the 7 Forces.
12. Good organisational, time management and project management skills in order to ensure delivery of results to agreed deadlines.
13. Ability to travel as required throughout the UK.
