Job summary
The Molecular Diagnostics department is seeking an Administrative Officer to provide efficient administrative support, ensuring the timely delivery of diagnostic services. The role involves assisting with a range of administrative duties, communicating with the public, NHSBT departments, and external contacts, while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with NHSBT policies. Both full-time and part-time hours are available, from Monday to Saturday, 07:00-18:00, with Saturday work compulsory. Please specify your preferred hours and work pattern in your application.
Main duties include:
1. Handling sample receipt and data entry within a team environment.
2. Supporting various administrative tasks based on department workload.
3. Communicating with the public, NHSBT departments, and external contacts.
4. Maintaining confidentiality and data security in line with policies.
5. Managing telephone communications and queries.
6. Maintaining manual and electronic filing systems.
7. Performing general office duties such as photocopying, scanning, and minute-taking.
