We are currently in search for SEN Primary Teachers who have experience and knowledge of additional needs and are available full-time.
The Role:
Position: SEN Primary Teacher within a mainstream Primary school.
Pay: Starting at £157 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: Mon to Fri (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Location: A Primary School in Llanrumney
The Students:
This role involves working within a Special Resource Base (SRB) located in a mainstream Primary School. The learners needs range from Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD, ADHD, and challenging behaviours. Top of Form
Requirements:
*Have experience in teaching within a Primary School environment.
*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Have good knowledge of Additional Learning Needs
*Have prior experience working with children with Additional Needs
*Hold an Enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply
*Be registered with the EWC
Roles and Responsibilities of a SEN Primary Teacher:
SEN Primary Teachers play a crucial role in ensuring pupils with Additional Learning Needs receive the necessary, individualised support. The post-holder will need to be adaptable, have effective communication and a commitment to inclusive education.
*Flexible Teaching: adapt and be prepared to teach a variety of subjects and learning abilities based upon the individual student’s needs.
*Collaboration with Support Staff: Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to provide effective support in varying classroom situations.
*Behaviour Management: implement effective behaviour management strategies to address and support pupils with challenging behaviours while still ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
*Feedback and Reporting: Provide feedback on students’ progress to the school leaders, school staff and parents.
*Safety and Well-being: Prioritise this and create an environment that is conducive to learning.
*Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and stay informed about the best practises within SEN Education.
