Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Headteacher to lead our established specialist Primary School in Preston, dedicated to supporting autistic pupils and those with associated Autism, Learning, or Complex Communication and Behaviour needs. The school caters to 45 children aged between 4 and 12 years old and is situated in a beautiful country house built in the 1880s, surrounded by eight acres of stunning parkland. With a strong and committed leadership team, we are looking for an individual who shares our passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of the students.
Key Responsibilities:

Educational Leadership: Provide strategic vision and leadership to ensure a nurturing, inclusive, and effective learning environment tailored to the needs of autistic pupils and those with associated conditions.

Specialist SEN Expertise: Leverage your expertise in autism, learning difficulties, and complex communication needs to drive educational excellence and implement effective strategies for behaviour management.

Community Engagement: Foster a collaborative and inclusive school culture by actively engaging with pupils, families, and staff, ensuring strong community ties.

Curriculum Development: Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of a highly tailored and engaging curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our students.

Strategic Planning: Ensure the school’s ongoing development and sustainability, maintaining alignment with our mission to provide outstanding education for all pupils.
Qualifications and Experience:

Proven Leadership: Demonstrated success as a Headteacher or in a senior leadership role within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting.

SEN Expertise: Strong background and understanding of working with autistic children and those with associated needs.
