We offer specialist perinatal training, line management, caseload and clinical supervision monthly.This role is unique. The attachment relationship between birthing person and child underpins the work undertaken, holding baby in mind and being their voice at times when this may be hard for the parent, but also shedding light and celebrating on what they are doing. The Nursery Nurse role supports birthing people on their journey of parenting, offering nurture and support through therapeutic interventions such as baby massage, VIG, Watch Wait Wonder, Circle Of Security and Solihull as they navigate support within their mental health. Main duties of the job You will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of Consultant Psychiatrists, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, a Therapies team, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Assistant Practitioners, Peer Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Community Team Managers, a Matron and a Service Manager specialising in perinatal mental health. We are looking for a Nursery Nurse with relevant Parent and Infant Mental Health experience to join our Perinatal Community Mental Health team. Knowledge on baby brain development and how they communicate using this to mentalise their thoughts and feelings, being curious and holding what this may feel like from both birthing person and baby perspective is essential. The Perinatal Community Mental Health Team provides prevention, detection and management of mental health problems that complicate pregnancy and the postpartum year. You will be responsible for: o Co-working a caseload of birthing people and babies with moderate to severe mental health needs within the perinatal period. o Undertaking assessments alongside psychology team. o Undertaking direct work with families. o Thinking about the parent infant relationship. o Escalating concerns about safeguarding to ECFS /Children's Services.
