Our client, a manufacturer of electro-mechanical products, seeks to appoint a Systems Engineering Manager to lead their design team. As Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead a small team of multi-disciplinary design engineers (electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software) on a variety of NDP projects. This is a hands-on Engineering Management role where you will take the lead on some of the more complex R&D projects alongside galvanizing a team to ensure optimum performance. Systems Engineering Manager - Role and Responsibilities
1. Oversee R&D focused design projects from cradle to scope, feasibility study, design work, prototyping and test, production engineering, snagging, field support.
2. Driving force of projects: liaise with internal stakeholders to deliver on-time and on-budget.
3. Manage multi-disciplined project teams including mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software design.
4. Handle customer and supplier queries.
5. Some travel required to customer sites as appropriate. Rare but occasionally required.
Systems Engineering Manager - Skills & Abilities
1. Good grounding in design engineering working for electro-mechanical manufacturing business.
2. HNC qualified as a minimum, degree preferred.
3. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, and software engineering.
4. Experience of managing multi-disciplined design teams on multiple R&D projects.
5. Previous experience of project management.
