Store Detective We’re currently looking for a full time Store Detective to join our established Security team here at Harrods. About the Role In this role you will be responsible for preventing and detecting losses and threats to the company, its staff, and customers across both the Knightsbridge and Hammersmith sites. The Store Detective will identify security issues, recover missing goods, identify and refer to enforcement agencies or discipline proceedings when appropriate. You will work with the Security Investigations Manager to reduce the company’s vulnerability, and undertake investigations where required. Store Detectives liaise with managers and staff of departments in crime prevention matters advising them accordingly. The role requires you to work 4 days a week out of 7, including working at other company premises and weekends as and when required due to the needs of the business. Additionally, extra hours and/or days of work may be required and/or changed by the department (providing adequate notice). About You You will have relevant experience as a Store Detective in a similar environment including experience dealing with the detention of suspects, producing evidence, and conducting any further action as required. You will also: Have excellent interpersonal skills to provide the highest standards of customer service to both internal and external customers. Have working knowledge of the law in relation to retail crime. Have the ability to build relationships across the business and ensure team members work together. Be an innovative and dynamic team worker with good communication skills (oral and written English). Be able to confidently use technology for completing job tasks Be able to demonstrate a level of health and fitness that enables you to carry out the full duties associated with this position, which includes standing or patrolling for long periods of time. Be flexible with regards to hours and days of work as the successful candidate may be required to fill any shortfalls on shift that the department feels is required.
