Thinktank Video Productions Manchester, is currently looking a Freelance Video Editor to work alongside its in-house production team. Our editing team is run by a RTV award-winning craft editor who has worked on many broadcast television productions, from documentaries, TV series and TV adverts. We are always on the lookout for individuals to fill our freelance video editor job roles as we have a diverse and established local and international client-base. This role is particularly suitable for individuals who are good at editing corporate video productions. This role will be particularly suitable for editors who are proficient at making corporate films eg within Healthcare, The NHS, Manufacturing, Education, Public Sector, Charity, Finance and Technology – where a significant amount of our work is focused. Thinktank Video Productions produces TV productions, Live Events and Corporate Videos and is part of the Thinktank Group of companies, which includes Thinktank Marketing Manchester. The successful applicant : Video Production Company Editor The Freelance Video Editor Job involves: You should have a good knowledge of Video Editing, and a full understanding of editing corporate videos. An understanding and proven experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve is an advantage. You should be proficient in managing multiple projects, with the ability to follow production workflows. Planning and Organising: We expect all of our staff to have good organisational skills and a reasonable sense of urgency so that meetings, timescales and deadlines are adhered to. Each film we make needs good planning, plus the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing environments, as you would expect, when making corporate video productions. If you are involved in editing any sensitive materials, including editing any footage involving vulnerable adults or children – or working on any projects involving settings like the NHS or hospitals, care homes or similar settings, we would expect you to have valid DBS clearance and be willing to undergo any further security checks, as appropriate for the work involved. Problem Solving and Decision Making: From time-to-time, projects involve unexpected events or circumstances. We work with individuals who have the capacity and capabilities to think on their feet and make common-sense adjustments to their working day and/or environment, in order to successfully fulfil filming duties. People Skills & Teamwork: It’s essential that we treat clients, members of the public and colleagues with respect and dignity. Expertise & Skills: You will have proven ability to demonstrate that you are able to work independently, have a basic understanding of how to use and work with media formats from a variety of cameras and sources. You should also be competent at editing Social Media Video Content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo, including working with formats such as 1:1 square and 9:16 Portrait. It would be a distinct advantage if you had experience working with Open and Closed Captions within Adobe Premiere. Qualifications & CV – necessary for working as a Video Editor Any references to Broadcast Television work or Feature Film work, within your CV, should also be able to be validated through IMDB‘s database. Although formal qualifications may demonstrate a technical understanding of Video Editing, you will be expected to provide evidence of previous project work within your CV.
