Twenty4Seven Education is seeking to appoint a passionate, motivated and imaginative Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within an innovative Secondary School in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. This exciting full-time role starts ASAP on a long-term basis.
This supportive Secondary School has an Inclusion and SEN provision on site. This provision caters for the students who increasingly struggle to cope with the demands of a mainstream school experience and the completion of a full study programme. The majority of students have Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
They need you to join their dynamic teaching staff to coordinate and lead behaviour and learning programmes for students in the KS3 Inclusion and SEN provision.

The role:
1. Promote the safety and well-being of pupils, and help to safeguard pupils' well-being by following the requirements of 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' and the school's child protection policy.
2. Lead the day-to-day running of the provision - including the provision of specialist teaching materials and equipment where appropriate.
3. Plan and deliver engaging and personalised learning plans in collaboration with other staff members to help students overcome barriers and access learning in a way which accelerates progress.
4. Establish productive working relationships with students in Years 7-9, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
5. Encourage students to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all students in activities.
6. Employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement.
7. Contribute to the assessment of students through observation and reporting.
8. Undertake regular professional development to keep up to date with the latest initiatives and good practice.
Must have:
1. Right to work in the UK.
2. Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years.
3. Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce) on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process).
4. GCSE English and Mathematics to Grade C+ (or equivalent) is essential.
5. Higher Level Teacher Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
6. Experience working with children within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 3 months of experience).
7. Experience of working with children and/or young people with SEMH needs.
8. Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.
9. Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills.
