GSL Education are working with a number of SEN Schools across Emsworth that are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants.
The needs of the pupils within the provisions vary from complex needs to challenging behaviour.
These schools support the growth and development of pupils aged between 5-16 years and are responsible for devising a personalised curriculum for each child.
The work pattern will be Monday- Friday Time: 08:30-15:30.
To be successful for the SEN Teaching Assistant role, experience is desirable in:
1. Any teaching experiences
2. Sports Coaching
3. Nursing background
4. Support work or Health care
5. Youth Work
6. Working with challenging behaviour
The SEN Teaching Assistant role includes:
1. Settling the class into their tutor group
2. Supporting teachers in ensuring all pupils can access their curriculum
3. 1:1, 2:1 and small group activities
4. Working closely with teachers to ensure all pupils are supported in school
Full-time is preferred but part-time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available.
To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you should:
1. Have the right to work in the UK.
2. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
3. Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
