General Sales Manager

If you are hands-on in nature, financially aware, have effective communication skills, and are passionate about building teams focused on ensuring every customer has a great experience, then we would like to talk to you about our General Sales Manager position.
What you will be doing?
1. The development of the Sales Executives within the team to achieve and exceed targets.
2. Acting as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
3. Support the sales executives in negotiating the terms of an agreement and support the closure of sales.
4. Gathering market and customer information.
5. Negotiating variations in price, delivery, and specifications with other managers.
6. Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
7. Checking quantities of goods on display and in stock and advising Sales Executives.
8. Checking vehicles in build with production and being a key point of contact.
9. Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
10. Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
11. The training and development of Sales Executives within the Team.
12. Conducting regular performance reviews with employees.
What we are looking for?
You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the key success drivers essential to deliver consistently strong results in terms of business growth, net profit, and cost control, together with high levels of employee and customer satisfaction.
While prestige experience will be a benefit, attitude and character are more important to us. We will want to see that you have strong leadership abilities and deeply care about customer satisfaction and loyalty.
In addition to the above, we are looking for individuals who meet the criteria below to join our team:
1. A hands-on leader and financially aware.
2. Ability to negotiate at all levels with strong leadership skills.
3. Motor Industry experience is preferable.
4. Ability to work to timescales effectively.
5. Keen eye for detail, good communication, and a passion for delivering great customer service.
6. Strong industry knowledge.
7. Ability to work under pressure.
