About the role… This is a management position within BCA Fleet Operations. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, this role will be directly responsible for all activities associated with refurbishment of a vehicle from the point of customer authorisation to successfully passing Bodyshop QA. An experienced manager required, who is proficient in managing large operations, a high number of staff and playing a key role in the management team at site. The position will be directly responsible for maximising productivity and process improvement within the Bodyshop department. Responsibilities… This role is focussed on maximising the bodyshop activities on site and ensuring the best, most appropriate and efficient processes are undertaken to deliver the highest level of customer service, whilst driving positive financial performance Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment Lead and manage all bodyshop operations within the vehicle repair process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines Manage, direct and lead the bodyshop team to foster a positive working environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement Determine efficient workshop planning strategies to optimise resource allocation and enhance productivity Manage the workload and workflow within production areas to ensure production targets are met Develop a culture of continual improvement to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency Monitor internal KPIs and customer SLAs to track performance to deliver results and identify areas for improvement Drive to achieve budget through revenue generation and cost control and provide weekly forecasting and chase/monitor operational targets Who you are… Essential: Previous experience working in a Bodyshop environment at management level (ideally 5 years) Operational Management Ability to monitor, forecast, budget and identify financial trends so that appropriate corrective action is taken when necessary. Articulate, with the ability to communicate effectively face-to-face and over the telephone at all levels of the business. Ability to understand and resolve complex problems at root cause. People & Team Management experience A Full UK driving licence Desirable: Direct practical experience of paint line processes and repair techniques is preferable Strong IT skills with a good knowledge of MS Office.
