Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer
Department: Operations / Water Hygiene Services
Reports to: Water Hygiene Supervisor / Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitoring and Testing: Conduct routine monitoring and testing of water systems for temperature and microbial content.
2. Cleaning and Disinfection: Perform cleaning and disinfection of water systems, including tanks and hot and cold-water systems.
3. TMV servicing.
4. Remedial Works: Carry out remedial works as required to ensure water systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records and produce detailed reports on all work carried out.
6. Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with current health and safety regulations and company standards.
7. Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, providing advice and recommendations on maintaining water hygiene.
8. Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Legionella Awareness Training: Certification in water hygiene and Legionella risk management (L8).
2. Additional Certifications: City and Guilds or similar water industry certifications (desirable).
Working Conditions:
Full-time, field-based role with regular travel to client sites across Midlands - South region.
Must be able to stay away from home for extended periods when required.
May involve occasional out-of-hours or weekend work to meet client needs or respond to emergencies.
