Job Title: Membership Development Executive
Department: Field Operations
Report to: Head of Field Operations
Location: Field Based – Covering Scotland
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Main Purpose:
* Engaging with our existing members of the Fed and being tasked with growing membership numbers in your designated geographical territory.
* Recruiting new members and developing further profitable business with existing Members through introducing them to new product streams and maximizing potential benefit from their membership.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Selling new prospects and business opportunities to potential members.
* Build relationships with and maintain an existing client base.
* Encourage all members to partake in brilliant promotions and market leading opportunities.
* Collaboration with our strategic business partners to create member growth.
* Plan daily visit routes.
* Help members with initiatives to save them money, make money and make their life easier in a competitive marketplace.
* Maximise the conversions of all Change of ownership opportunities achieving target as a minimum.
* Responsible for increasing member yield to targeted figure within designated territory.
* Ask appropriate qualifying questions.
* Record and explore information held on customers to ensure effective customer relationship management and maximise up sell opportunities.
* Attend briefings and meetings and work with Line Manager on the monthly objective of the department.
Person Specification:
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Essential:
* Must be a team player with the ability to manage own workload and work unsupervised and to be self-motivated.
* A confident communicator at all levels.
* 2-3 years’ work experience in a Sales / Field based role.
Desirable:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
* Ability to work flexible hours as when required.
* Willingness to travel across a geographical area daily.
* Someone who puts customers first and works as an individual.
* Proven conversion history – persuasive but courteous style.
* IT literate – experience of using Microsoft packages in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Able to develop a positive on-going working relationship at all levels across the Federation.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Experience: B2B or B2C Sales: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification: Full UK manual driving licence (required)
