The role of the Project Manager is to support the Backlog Programme Manager, in close co-operation with other Estates Officers in the delivery of capital projects within the Estates & Facilities Directorate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will form part of a multi-disciplined team whose role is to provide the best possible service to Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will have both group and individual responsibilities for defined aspects of the service but will ensure their contribution is beneficial to other departments within the Trust, as well as the Backlog Projects team so as to fulfil the Trust's overall objectives.

* Evidence of CPD in project management i.e. Prince 2
Experience
Essential
* Demonstrable experience of working within the NHS or health sector in a project management related capacity.
* Evidenced portfolio of assisting on previous capital project work with proven record.
* Experience of assisting with the management of projects through the full project lifecycle.
Desirable
* Demonstrable experience of working in a project management related capacity.
Knowledge
Essential
* An evidenced understanding of the commissioning process as laid down in the NHS Estates Capital Investment Manual.
* Awareness of the application of Health Technical Memorandum & Health Building Notes within a healthcare environment.
* Awareness of the application of room data sheets on a project.
Desirable
* An evidenced understanding of the NHS Estates Capital Investment Manual workstages.
* Understanding of clinical relationships/adjacencies within a hospital facility with demonstration of recognised significance of support services, patient experience, consumerism and stakeholder (including patient) consultation.
