Job Purpose: The Kitchen Assistant will support and guarantee daily preparation of products at the highest standard, quality and quantity determined by the Production Operations Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Preparing the production area.
2. Ingredient preparation and daily products (focaccia bread, cookies, loaf and sponge cakes, viennoiserie, and sandwiches).
3. Prepare baking tins and trays for correct product.
4. Storing ingredient appropriately as suggested by the Production Operations Manager.
5. Shadow and get experience to use methods such as mixing, scaling, and shaping to handcraft our bread.
6. Maintain the cleanliness of all food preparation areas, kitchen, and equipment throughout the day.
7. Checking and unloading stock on arrival.
8. Taking out bins.
9. Support team members with jobs needed throughout the day.

5. Excellent levels of personal hygiene.

Minimum Requirements: Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety.
Benefits:
1. Contracted hours: 40 hours – Full Time (overtime is paid).
2. Working Hours are between: 6am-3pm.
3. Shift Pattern: Mon-Sun, any 5 consecutive days out of 7.
4. Location: The Bakehouse, 1 Fortunes Walk, E20 1FS (If you live in a 5-mile radius, this job is for you).
5. Hourly rate of £11.5 per hour depending on experience (monthly pay).
6. Employee Discount: 50% while on shift and 20% off orders when you bring friends.
7. 29 days annual leave (Full time - pro rata if you work part time).
8. Staff yoga.
