About The Role:
Specsavers in Salisbury have a fantastic opportunity for an Optometrist to join their great team. Over the last 12 years, the store partners have created a wonderful working culture within this busy practice. An environment where people genuinely enjoy going to work, as it feels like a home from home. Having gained the award of Platinum Employer, we are keen to maintain a working environment that offers flexibility – this includes part-time hours around school hours or alternate weekends.
The team structure within this practice has been carefully designed to support you, making your daily duties as an Optometrist as hassle free as possible. You’ll be supported by a fantastic, highly experienced team of 5 Dispensing Opticians, a Contact Lens department, and 2 Lead Optometrists who are also WOPEC assessors, helping you focus on doing the job you love. There are 5 site test rooms, all complete with OCT and Phoropters.
If you are clinically minded, you will be pleased to know that the store has excellent links with the local hospitals, so there is always an opportunity to work on EOS referrals.
The store has been a part of the Salisbury community for over 2 decades which has created a loyal customer base and a friendly, family-oriented environment. There is also a separate contact lens facility and a hearcare room. Salisbury also benefits from good transport links to London Waterloo, Exeter, and Cardiff with the added benefit of being close to Southampton and Bournemouth airports.
Our store is an accredited Platinum Employer – this means you can expect an exceptional employee experience every single day you work here. The Platinum Employer Scheme is part of the Specsavers drive to become a famous place to work. Stores with this accreditation have been verified on five key employer standards: Recruitment, Performance Management and Reward, Talent Management, Learning and Development, and Employee Engagement.
