Supplier Compliance Pilot Job Summary
Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for a Supplier Compliance Pilot. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
The Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team is looking for a Supplier Compliance Pilot to join our team focused on ensuring all project quality targets are met, managing launch timelines & deliverables and ensuring the transition to quality volume production.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for the compliance and quality of BCI parts and assemblies.
2. Responsible for approving APQP / PPAP deliverables.
3. Responsible for ensuring the application of all BCI compliant processes.
4. Leads supplier quality reviews to ensure compliance actions consistent with vehicle quality.
5. Proposes pilots for issue resolution.
6. Responsible for the escalation process based on the BCI business criteria.
7. Leads coaching for the strategic suppliers on the execution of complaint process and issue resolution.
8. Ensures root cause analysis and manages change requests to guarantee 100% quality at launch.
9. Manages correlation of measurements to KPIs and ensures measured data integrity.
Basics:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials / Chemical / Civil / Aerospace) from an ABET accredited university.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive areas of Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and/or Product Quality.
Knowledge of APQP/PPAP & Supplier Quality Manual.
Statistical data analysis and metrology principles, Root Cause Analysis methods.
Knowledge of defect resolution, escalation processes, and follow-up.
Knowledge of metrology principles and understanding of statistical analysis and process control.
Understanding of vehicle design, assembly, and process control.
Understanding of tooling and in-plant processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to develop an action plan and drive the procedures for issue resolution.
Self-motivated. Able to meet deadlines with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
