The Project Planner is a key position responsible for ensuring the effective planning and scheduling of projects across various phases, including tendering, design, construction, commissioning, and close-out. The company operates within the data, defence, and energy sectors, providing comprehensive design, construction, and engineering services. What They Are Looking For We are seeking a highly skilled construction planner with at least 8 years of experience in project scheduling, ideally within MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and civil projects. The ideal candidate should have expert knowledge of scheduling software, including MS Project and Primavera (P6), along with experience using Power BI and ASTA for reporting and data analysis. The right candidate will have strong knowledge of project management processes, contract management (NEC3/4 and FIDIC), and experience working on major construction projects. They should be comfortable collaborating with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring project schedules are realistic, risk-assessed, and optimized for efficiency. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain baseline project schedules to support on-time and on-budget project delivery. Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project timelines are achievable and risks are identified. Provide schedule analysis and reporting, including what-if scenarios and look-ahead plans. Assist with contractor claims management and schedule-related documentation. Support pre-construction planning, including logistics, sequencing, and temporary services schedules. Contribute to continuous improvement in planning processes and provide training in best practices. Qualifications & Skills Required Degree or HNC in Construction Management or a related field. CSCS card (required) and Asbestos Awareness (preferred). Experience in SharePoint and working on live documents online. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to collaborate across multiple teams. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, integrating schedules across a portfolio. This role is hybrid/project-based, meaning a mix of remote work and site-based work will be required, depending on project needs.
