About the Technical Manager job
The purpose of your role will be to lead, manage, maintain, and develop a programme of food safety quality assurance to ensure products are safe, legal, and to the quality standard that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Key tasks
1. Monitor product quality, packaging integrity, raw materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
2. Audit Critical Control Points, address non-conformances, and promote a strong quality and safety culture among staff.
3. Oversee health, safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance, while managing the implementation of the BRC Global Standard and preparing for audits.
4. Investigate complaints using root cause analysis, logging and resolving non-conformances effectively.
About You
1. Strong quality assurance/technical management track record within food manufacturing.
2. Ideally educated to a degree level in food science or food safety discipline. Demonstrate excellent knowledge of food safety requirements, standards and legislation including BRC global standard. Ideal qualifications include a minimum of Level 3 HACCP, Food Safety, Food Hygiene, Internal Auditing etc.

The working week is Monday to Friday and is standard office hours.
The site is in West Sussex and is commutable from Horsham, Burgess Hill, Redhill, Sevenoaks, Epsom, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead, Uckfield, Crowborough and Cranleigh (Sussex and Surrey).
