Main duties of the job Southampton Neonatal Services are offering a fixed-term secondment for an experienced neonatal nursing leader to step in to the role of Operational Matron. Due to an expansion of our service we are seeking an Operational Matron to lead the team to deliver family centred care, promote patient flow and support the workforce to develop a positive culture. Southampton Neonatal Services encompass: Intensive Care, Special Care, Transitional Care, Home Outreach, Neonatal Transport (SONeT) and Milk Bank. The post holder will use their knowledge and influence change develop these services operationally. The Operational Matron will maintain close working relationships with the Lead Matron, Consultant Neonatologists, Senior Nursing Team and Care Group Management team to ensure that we are delivering excellent standards of family centred care.
