What is the role?
Our central early years team is changing and we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for early education to become part of our dynamic and forward thinking early years team. As Early Years Quality Improvement Officer the successful candidate will contribute to leading the delivery of high quality early learning and childcare services across South Ayrshire.
The role of the Early Years Quality Improvement Officer is central to raising standards in early years, in line with national and local priorities. The successful candidate will have a strategic role in taking forward and developing the service. This will include collaborating with dedicated staff to deliver high quality early years experiences in our local authority Early Years Centres and Funded Providers.
This role promises variety and travel between Early Years Centres and Funded Providers in South Ayrshire.

Extra Information:
The Grade of this post is within the Quality Improvement Officer (QIO) Scale with an annual salary from £73,110 to £81,579.
The successful candidate will work from a designated office location.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
