To support a SU with complex needs and around their behaviour. Being able to notice the signs before behaviour escalates and to use distraction techniques as per SU Positive Behaviour Plan and their support plan. To participate in day to day support with individual. To support SU with day to day tasks. To maintain effective communication and liaison with service user, management and family and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality. To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events. To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required. Willing to play on musical instruments together with the SU. Diploma (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one. Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, autism spectrum, epilepsy, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. Awareness of Positive Behaviour Approach when dealing with individuals with challenging behaviour. The ability to keep calm under the pressure.
