Further Information:
A Female Personal Assistant is required for 4 hours a week to assist a bright, but shy 6-year-old girl to go to park for short walks, riding her scooter, swimming. She also likes arts and crafts; animals and the family have a pet cat.
She has Autism and Dyspraxia, and this causes her to have limitations is social situations and avoids large and noisy groups and places. She needs to feel safe and secure and naturing relationship. She has no road sense, so the PA must be alert at all times. Mum will give support to the PA to help develop the relationship.
The successful PA will support after school and weekends and assist to attend appointments, so Mum doesn’t have to leave work. Some training may be required, and this will be available.
Applicants should also be keen to supporting the social inclusion of disabled people in their local community. In addition, they should be honest, reliable, and good at communicating, tolerant and non-judgemental and able to build good relationships based on trust and respect.
