Job Title: Project Engineer
Mission and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at G3 Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation, cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support project mobilisation and produce relevant plans.
* Produce and maintain project trials, verification and validation plans.
* Assist with supplier approval audits and onboarding in line with the mobilisation plan.
Key Deliverables:
* Provide engineering expertise and advice to the project team.
* Develop and maintain project plans and technical documentation.
* Interface between project teams, engineering disciplines, and suppliers on technical issues.
* Evaluate engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
* Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and acceptance according to the trials, verification, and validation plan.
* Participate in design review meetings and ensure compliance with project technical requirements.
* Maintain effective communication with suppliers and monitor project deliverables for quality and industry standards compliance.
* Conduct investigations into product or service non-conformities, providing detailed reports and evidence.
* Communicate with clients, interpret their needs, and represent them in the field.
* Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop efficient project methods.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
* Active certification in an engineering professional organisation.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles and procedures.
* At least 5 years' experience in an engineering environment.
* Demonstrable experience in a Project Engineering role.
* Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts.
* Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent time management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in MS Office and IT tools.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Security clearance (or ability to obtain it).
International Travel:
The role requires significant UK and overseas travel for supplier inspections and audits, equipment acceptance inspections, and other business-related activities. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel both within the UK and abroad.
