Job summary We are pleased to be able to offer a position for an experienced Telephonist/Receptionist in our Bedford Hospital Phlebotomy Department. We are looking for a person to join a well establish team to undertake Telephone /Reception duties in Out-patients department throughout the Trust as directed. Band 2 Part time Telephonist/ Receptionist required to work at Gilbert Hitchcock House. Previous experience Preferred. Monday to Friday 10am - 3pm Main duties of the job The post holder will have day to day responsibility for the administration of the relevant Patient Information system and the Reception area. They will work as part of a team providing front line telephone/administration services to the department, answering the telephone to both internal and external callers and arrange patient transport as required .Welcome patients and visitors to the department, the booking of outpatient blood test appointments You will need to be physically fit and able to lift. This is a busy area with a high throughput of work and staff are required to work efficiently as part of a team whilst maintaining courtesy, tact and diplomacy at all times.
