This post requires a flexible, adaptive individual who will facilitate, maintain and monitor processes and systems in place to support Clinical Governance and Human Resources. The post holder will be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in order to ensure a robust communication pathway with staff in relation to clinical governance, compliance, quality, and safety. They will use their own initiative and support both the Head of Clinical Governance and Quality, and Head of People, in their diverse portfolio of work including employment compliance, patient safety incidents, risk management, patient experience, clinical audit/effectiveness, assurance, compliance and service improvement projects. They will act as a key link to support teams in the delivery of service improvement activity. To assist review of incident reports and allocate incidents appropriately for investigation as required. They will facilitate all staff to deliver high-quality care within the parameters of a comprehensive clinical governance framework and under the direction of both the Head of Clinical Governance and Quality and Head of People, co-ordinate responses to the investigation of clinical incidents and complaints as well as monitor and request all compliance and pre-employment checks for our new starters.
Main duties of the job
To support project objectives and undertake data collection utilising a broad range of approaches & methodologies that effectively underpin clinical audit, patient safety, patient experience & clinical effectiveness projects.
To oversee data streams for all aspects of clinical quality, including patient safety, audit, patient experience and clinical effectiveness.
Provide support to teams to monitor the progress with and the effectiveness of recommendations made as a result of learning from patient safety incidents and complaints.
To assist in the facilitation of quality committee meetings, collating feedback and preparing comprehensive reports/key messages.
To facilitate the development of communication processes for the organisation e.g. bulletins, newsletters.
Support CQC compliance (or equivalent) and audit in line with NHS standards.
Collate, review, and maintain all documentation required from our new employees in their onboarding process. Ensure all NHS standards are being met.
Monitor and review to ensure all employee training is in-date/up to date and renewed for each module required.
To provide a weekly update at the People & Compliance meeting on the status of all new starters to ensure training is completed and recorded.
Communicate and attend weekly meetings with Service Managers informing them of the compliance status of their new starters.
Attend meetings with Head of Recruitment to discuss new starters and forecast any delays with candidates.
