Role: Apprentice Site Engineer
Location: Bletchley, Milton Keynes
Contract: FTC for the duration of the apprenticeship, with a view to becoming permanent once completed
Division: Building South
As the GRAHAM business continues to grow and develop, we are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Site Engineer.
The successful candidate will initially be based at our Milton Keynes project, with the potential to work across other sites in due course. The role includes providing support to our existing Site Management/Engineering team, whilst studying on a day/block release basis.

The candidate will learn to undertake the following responsibilities:
1. Setting out, levelling and surveying a construction site
2. Working with site plans, drawings and building information models
3. Mapping structural boundaries on the ground using pegs and markers
4. Liaising with designers and engineers to ensure plans and drawings are accurate
5. Overseeing quality control
6. Monitoring health and safety
7. Keeping a site diary
8. Resolving technical problems
9. Working in an office and on a construction site.
10. Ensuring all Company Procedures are being complied with
11. Ensuring all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are followed
12. Achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site
13. Positively promoting the company wherever and whenever
Essential requirements:
14. Resident of the city of Milton Keynes
15. Demonstrate a strong desire for the role
16. Demonstrate an ability to work on own initiative.
17. Demonstrate strong communication skills and flexibility in working locations
18. 3x A Levels at C grade or above or BTEC Level 3 (triple grade) However we will consider exceptional candidates to start at a lower level
Desirable requirements:
19. Knowledge of the Construction Industry
20. A strong interest in developing a STEM career within the Construction Industry
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Apprentice Site Engineer and the range of duties to be undertaken.
